Just after Irma, DKF submitted a request for support to 'SamenwerkendeFondsen' for US€ 18,000 to renovate two classrooms which were heavily damaged under Irma. It turned out that the funds were insufficient. An incomplete facility was the result. The CSO submitted under R4CR a proposal to finalize the two classrooms. The PIU called in the expertise of an independent construction expert who prepared a more accurate budget for renovating and finalizing the two classrooms. Additional resources have been approved to finance logistical equipment for these two classrooms in order to make them operational.
