The World Bank Environmental and Social Framework sets out the World Bank’s commitment to sustainable development, through a policy and a set of Environmental and Social Standards (ESS) designed to support projects, with the aim of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity.
The World Bank has defined specific Environmental and Social Standards (ESS), which are designed to avoid, minimize, reduce or mitigate the adverse environmental and social risks and impacts of projects. In the four documents (ESCP, ESMF, LMP and SEP) disclosed on this Website, the ESS related to the R4CR program are described in a transparent manner and as such visible and available to the community of Sint Maarten. Responses and reactions can be addressed the R4CRPIU management through the standard procedure.
