The goal of this project is to continue the literacy support program at targeting persons who are functionally illiterate.
The lack of literacy impedes persons from moving from low paid jobs to better paid jobs because they lack the basic skills to perform anything but menial labor.
But more importantly, literacy gives confidence, a sense of achievement and restores pride as they are better able to navigate the modern world.
Although there are few official statistics available on this subject, several local organizations reported encountering literacy issues with course participants in the recent past.
This project aims to build on previous experience and take the participating students a step closer to full literacy
Hearts United Holistic Care Foundation was born out of the love for service to mankind. Established in September, 2020 in the midst of what many will call a downturn in the economy.
This foundation represents the resilience of a people knitted together with a heart of love to serve beyond borders.
Hearts United Holistic Care Foundation is a non-profit organization which is established to provide a holistic and conducive environment with direct focus on providing care and support to the elderly, individuals and family units on St. Maarten and the surrounding islands.
Support may take the form of feeding, mentoring, counseling, seminars / trainings, rehabilitation and elderly care to shut-ins and those that are in need.
