The CSO submitted a request for co-financing a mini-bus under R4CR. The mini bus will be used to transport club members to matches, training sessions and other outdoor activities. The reason why the CSO participates in club football on the French side of the island is because there is currently no youth competition on the Dutch side of the island. However, exercises for young children are considered to be essential as after-school activity. Finance byR4CR depends on the approval of Sint Maarten Football Federation/French Football Federation (SMFA/FFF), which will cover the large part of the costs.
RISC Takers was unofficially founded in 2007. In 2012 the foundation was formalized and the club started training sessions at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex stadium for children in the age category 5-13. Interest in soccer was immense resulting in an increase of 60 children in a period of 3 months. Ten volunteer trainers took care of this group of 60. RISC Takers considers sports to be fundamental to the development of children. Participation in sports teaches youngsters basic key values such as honesty, teamwork, fair-play, respect ad adherence to rules which are basic principles for the RISC Takers Football Club.
