Community Resilience
Youth unemployment has been a major problem on the island since hurricane Irma and has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This project has been designed to tackle youth unemployment by providing soft skills training in combination with the SMILE job fair
The project effects will be measured a few months after the SMILE job fair.
The SHTA is a non-governmental organization striving for a sustainable economy and market place, a healthy and beautiful island and good governance, in order to reach a higher quality of life for all St. Maarten residents.
Amongst its advocacy activities for the private sector and St. Maarten society, SHTA is known for organizing large events like the St. Maarten Annual Regional Trade Show (SMART), the St. Maarten Innovations, Industries and Initiatives Link-up Event (SMILE).
