The Youth Council caters to some 500 children and young adults per month, through varying different projects and programs. The current facilities have reached the end of their life cycle and are in need of replacement to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
The main kitchen will be refurbished and the old appliances will be replaced with energy efficient models. The exterior staircase (which was damaged by hurricane Irma) will be repaired and the building will be repainted.

The SYC owns and operates the Rupert I Maynard Youth Community Center in St. Peters. The Association’s flagship programs include the STAR After School Program and the Sint Maarten Youth Parliament. They are also actively engaged in EU-funded youth exchanges and training for youth leaders, under the Erasmus+ Youth Funds.
