The Baby Think It Over is a program that teaches sex education, life skills and healthy choices. The ultimate goal of BTIO is a reduction in teenage pregnancy rates.
The program helps to engage students and teach needed skills to improve and enhance social, emotional and physical health in addition to life goals, finances and relationships.
The grant will be used to cover the costs of the teaching materials (Real care baby kits), accessories, shipping and storage.
The main beneficiaries of this project are the 2nd form Sundial School students (100) who will participate in the 8-week program.
SVOBE is an educational foundation and in charge of the two high schools Milton Peters College and Sundial School. The school board offers all levels of secondary education in two languages: English and Dutch. About one third of all secondary school students on St. Maarten attend one of these two schools.
